Why you should register for ELC
The first time I saw an ELC
brochure was at my office sometime in 2010 and I couldn’t help but pick up a
copy for keeps; reason being that the brochure advertising the conference was
loaded with the pictures and profiles of so many prominent, popular and
influential persons that holding a copy made me feel somewhat connected to them
already. Not to mention the thought of sitting in a room, listening to them
share experiences and insights on the path to a life of purpose and
productivity.
It’s been 3 years now and I have since
followed ELC keenly. The momentum has not dropped. The array of speakers is
consistently exciting and still makes my heart race with anticipation and
expectation.it is consistently clear that a wealth of research clearly goes into
seeking speakers and this year’s conference is not different. It is loaded from
government to ministry, entertainment, media, medicine and even science &
technology.
One will wonder why it is
necessary to gather thousands of people to listen to these people, what is the
point? Why should one attend? As I have come to learn from listening to and
reading the words of persons who are making a difference in this world, change
is deliberate. Nothing happens by accident and the first step to making a
change begins in the mind. When we make up our minds to make a difference, our
words change and then our actions follow immediately. So yes; gathering thousands
of people to listen to the words of successful, seasoned, experienced
professionals from various fields and endeavors can be said to be a deliberate
step in the direction of making a difference, making a change, building a new
generation and raising role models which by now you must know is the vision of
Daystar Christian Center.
ELC this year is themed;
Corruption Free Leadership. Date is the 6th to the 8th of
November 2013; 9am-2pm daily. Five hours of life changing, eye opening and
mentally liberating knowledge sharing; a time to interact with some powerful
role models from our generation. Think of it like getting a chance to be in the
same room with Moses, Daniel, David and Abraham…wouldn’t you have forsaken
everything to be at such an event? Register Now!

Chigo's powdery dilemma
Tiwa Savage fully 'packaged' |
You wouldn't know the amazing bundle of talent that you just walked past...*fluttering eyelids*
However, because of this my compere work, when I have a job I gats to present and represent... you feeling me now?
So I am on a constant quest to improve my physical appearance when I go for events or meetings while I sag into my jeans and T-shirts on regular days... Its one of the few things I share with people like Beyonce, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe and even Michelle Obama has joined us...Lol.
Anyway so one day I went to Wheat baker hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos and while there I noticed that all the receptionists and female customer facing staff had their faces excellently made up on point... I could not draw my eyes away. I couldn't resist, I just had to ask "please what is the secret of this perfect picture of fabulous glam I see on your faces?" They then whispered two words...BLACK UP!

Extraordinary Nigerian Woman; Tokunbo Laotan-Brown
I want to
introduce you to a truly extraordinary Nigerian woman; simple but deep.
Her
name is Tokunbo Laotan-Brown but her friends call her Tokie.
She holds a
diploma in Human Rights Law -following her desire to study law while growing up
but somewhere along the line, the entrepreneurial bug bit her and she decided
to open a bridal shop with a friend.
While
working on the project, she had to work on the interiors of the shop. The finished
work was so brilliant; it was nominated for its interiors at the Image awards
in Galway, Ireland in 2007.
She then decided
to go back to college to study Architecture.
